Ricci began her career as a child actor in her role as Wednesday Addams, and Addams Family Values (both 1993) in The Addams Family and as Kat Harvey, in Casper. Ricci's journey into roles for adults began with The Ice Storm in 1997, and was followed by her highly acclaimed performance as The Opposite of Sex in 1998 for which Ricci received a Golden Globe nod for Best Actress. She continued to be successful with her performances on Sleepy Hollow (1998) and Monster (2003).
